Nina has worked for Department for Transport for 4 years as the Network Rail Telecom Client Side. Her role includes delivering improved connectivity along the rail corridor. As part of this work she has worked with Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) to research the economic benefits of a connected rail corridor and working with Network Rail Telecom to identify what telecom assets can be reused to improve connectivity along the rail corridor. In addition, Nina works closely with her colleagues at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to promote the benefits of the recently built passive 5G infrastructure at the Rail Innovation Development Centre (RIDC) for trials to be conducted and the Building Digital UK (BDUK) Local Full Fibre Network (LFFN) who have recently funded 432 fibre between Manchester and York to improve fibre connectivity for nearby communities.
