Biography

May-Ann Lew is a Senior Consultant with SNC-Lavalin Atkins and an active committee member and ambassador with the Young Rail Professionals (YRP). YRP was founded in 2009 to Promote the railway industry as a great place to work and to Inspire and Develop the next generation of railway talent. May-Ann was YRP’s National Ambassadors Manager for 2 years in 2015 and 2016 where she led the growth of the ambassador networks in the newly formed regions across the country and expanded YRP’s outreach initiatives and activities. May-Ann then became YRP’s Major Projects and Rail Week Lead, successfully delivering Rail Week 2017 & 2018. The dedicated week of activity aims to address the skills shortage in rail-related roles and inspire a generation of young people through a series of events, visits and talks. May-Ann is passionate about promoting rail careers and inspiring the next generation of talent into rail. She represents YRP in many industry forums and working groups, promoting collaboration within the industry, all on top of  her day job as a Control Systems Engineer.
