Joseph Dutton is a Policy Adviser at energy and environment think-tank E3G, where he works on European energy governance, market interconnection, and infrastructure investment. Previously he was an Associate Research Fellow at the Energy Policy Group (University of Exeter), where he undertook research on European renewable energy development and market integration. His work has also seen him look at the consequences of Brexit for the UK and EU in relation to energy.
Joseph has also researched the globalisation of UK gas supply, the development of shale gas in the UK and Europe, and in the past he worked as a commodities price reporter covering the UK natural gas markets and as an analyst in upstream oil and gas consultancy. He holds an MA in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Kent.
