Biography

Jon started his career in 1986 with British Rail, undertaking various managerial roles – both passenger and freight transportation around the UK.

In 2003 Jon joined TfL as Director Rail Projects, taking sponsorship responsibility for TfL’s involvement in Crossrail and the East London Line.

In December 2004 he became Director DLR, managing £1bn of major project work upgrades, preparing DLR for the Olympics and overseeing construction and opening of the Emirates Air Line (cable car).

Jon is currently the Director of Rail & Sponsored Services, which has responsibility for all contracted rail operations including: Docklands Light Railway, London Overground and London Trams; and sponsored transport services: Cycle Hire, Emirates Airline and River Services.
