George Bathurst is the Founder of the Windsor Link Railway, which aims to be the country’s first profitable new railway in living memory. He has taken it from an innovative engineering idea to the submission of a formal feasibility study to Network Rail in 2017, cited in the Hansford Review funding the work with engineering partners and private investors.
Prior to working in railways, he worked as a Scientist for the Admiralty Research Agency on submarine sonar for acoustic intelligence before working for Hewlett Packard’s software management business. He has also served as a Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead councillor and lead member.
