Edwin has a range of experience in transport systems including project engineering management and Innovation. He brings a key understanding of transportation systems supply chain and the engineering management of integration issues. Over the past 6 years he has undertaken various roles in RSSB, FutureRailway and DfT, including managing their enabling innovation programme aimed at building innovation capability within UK rail transport clients and the UK rail supply chain. Prior to this Edwin was the EMEA Regional Advanced Civil Engineer for Bombardier Transportation’s Systems Division (BT-SYS) providing a range of Civil Engineering Interface related inputs to bids as well as managing the interface design between the M&E subsystems and the civil subsystem for live projects throughout the EMEA region.
Earlier, he held a variety of roles within Scott Wilson; latterly this included deputy headship of the Research and Commercial Consultancy unit delivering R&D services to a range of public and private organisations. Formerly Edwin was team leader of a specialist unit delivering track bed engineering services for heavy and light rail, major projects and strategic schemes. Prior to joining Scott Wilson, Edwin gained experience in Geotechnical R&D at The University of Birmingham; developing an Innovative electrochemical stabilisation technique.
A Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the ICE, Edwin is a reviewer for ICE journals and a member of The ICE East Midlands Transport Panel.
