Attracting Third Party Investment into the UK Rail Sector

Increasing confidence and contestability in the market, whilst reducing costs
Wednesday 31 January 2018 Dentons, London
There has been a shift in attitude towards third party investment in the rail sector since the release of the Hansford Review and Network Rail’s ‘open for business’ response. This timely conference responds to the growing interest in attracting external investment in to the UK’s rail sector. With financiers stating there is no shortage of capital to invest in UK infrastructure, the day will look at Network Rail and Government appetite for external investment, as well as the new approaches and structures they are introducing to garner private finance in to the industry. Sessions also consider potential delivery models, insight from pathfinder schemes already underway and opportunities for additional investment into current and future projects.

Benefits of attending:

  • Hear from Network Rail on how they are removing the barriers that prohibit third party investment
  • Gain an understanding of pipelines and what opportunities there are for third party investment in the UK rail sector
  • Learn from those who have already participated in private equity investment
  • Hear case studies from SPV’s on what investment model they have used and how it has worked with their project

Industry leaders from both public and private sectors will outline their commitment to this transformational change to the way the railways are built and operated, so attendance is essential for those with a specific interest in seeing the UK rail market benefit from additional investment.
